Our Mission

While the name has changed in recent years to be more inclusive of the types of businesses it serves, the Center’s mission is still the same as it was years before at its inception:

To enable privately owned businesses to achieve dreams for their business, family, employees, community, and stakeholders by providing access to industry leaders, resources, networks, and education.

It is our hope that by 2020, Wake Forest University will be a catalyst for economic growth in our region and will be an institution more deeply embedded in the economic growth and social prosperity of our region and beyond.

Non-Solicitation Policy

The primary mission of the Center for Private Business is to serve as a pivotal resource for our private member companies in order to better individual members, their families, and their businesses. In order to create a non-commercial environment, conducive to promoting a safe and intimate space for all of our members, we have created a strict non-solicitation policy prohibiting direct solicitation of our clients from both members and sponsors.

Including both members and sponsors in our CPB events helps enhance the educational environment of the center; however, these opportunities are not a chance for individuals to seek out prospective clients. Instead, our programs are intended to better connect our members and those who provide related services in order to strengthen support networks and facilitate the spread of information about a variety of relevant topics.

We are committed to sustaining a safe and educational environment for all of our members, and ask for your cooperation in this process.
