Description: The best leaders see opportunity where the rest see obstacles. What separates an average problem solver from a master of overcoming obstacles? What gets in the way of your ability to accurately understand a problem? How can you see problems as opportunities to learn and grow as a leader and as an organization? Discover the answers to these questions and many more.

What will I learn? In this afternoon session led by Ramonda Kyser of the BB&T Leadership Institute, you will:

  • Explore the complexities involved in how our brains perceive problems and obstacles
  • Learn a scientifically based process for overcoming obstacles using rational optimism
  • See the obstacles your organization faces with a new and energized perspective
  • Develop a plan for applying your new perspective to your organizational obstacle
  • Understand how to help others see through the lens of opportunity
  • Identify and share key strategies for overcoming obstacles with other business leaders

This event will take place in Room 106 at the WFU Charlotte Center. Members of the Center for Private Business may attend this workshop for free. Non-Members are $50 per person. Registration is required by March 11, 2019.
